There are a few things you should know as a new music artist that you should NOT do if you want to make it to the top. I will share these 5 tips with you so that you won't fall into this cycle. There's many ways to promote yourself as a artist today on the internet, that its crazy! Many of the successful music artists you see on T.V. started out on the world wide web and have blossomed into what they are now. These people not only knew what to do to get noticed, but they also knew what not to do.
1. No Spamming- Its so tempting to get on the web and hit up as many people as you can so they can hear your fantastic new song. You like your song, so why wouldn't a total stranger like it? You should be aware that everyone isn't going to be as excited as you are right away. There is no need for you to post a message on everybody's page and message them constantly about your new songs. If you do this you will find out quickly that people will start cutting you off or ignoring you. This is called SPAMMING and no one likes that.
2. Do not Beg- Never ever beg for people to listen to your music. If you do this you will appear to be desperate and lame. Think about those times you got a total stranger begging you to listen to their music. You probably deleted them or ignored them. So don't beg because it doesn't look cool. Your fan's will come to you as you promote the smart way.
3. Don't Be Impatient- I know you think everybody everywhere needs to hear your music by tomorrow or they will just die! I know you feel like your song should be on the radio today! My friend there is no need to rush perfection. Your hard work will pay off! Take your time in all things, stay focused on making better music, and you will get the results you are looking for.
4. Do Not give Up!- Whatever yo do don't give up on your dreams and goals. Its much more easier to become lazy and procrastinate when you don't see anything happening right away. Even I sometimes feel like I want to be lazy but I never stop working hard because I believe in myself. Never stop working hard, no matter what.
5. Do Not Have Whack Beats!- This tip is the most important out of every one of the previous tips. No one wants to hear a music artist rapping or singing over a bad beat. If you have whack beats, 9 times out of 10, people will think you are whack! So do yourself a favor by getting you some great instrumentals before you take another step!
In conclusion, all of these tips are highly useful. You should keep these in mind as you go online to do your networking and promotion. By following this advice you will look more professional to those watching and listening to your music.
